Rendang

Today is actually one of those days where things didn’t go very well, not according to plan, nothing much to be happy about, but is still more fun a day than all the other supposedly fun days.

Today is one of the few days where despite everything going not as well and slightly out of routine, I come home happy and satisfied.

Really. Seriously. There really wasn’t much to be happy about. I had to stay back in school for nearly 2 hours because my dad forgot he had to pick me up.

But that’s not the point. The point is that despite having to stay for 2 hours, somehow, quite miraculously, I found companions to wait with me everywhere. :D

First there were Kim, Amanda, Marilyn, Mildred and Joanna. Then they all left so I walked in and met the form 3s waiting for their food, I think. Then Eleena appeared, looking pissed off because someone called her “crazy” so she babbled on about the incident.

Us: Wait. What were you doing again?
Eleena: I was squatting next to the toilet!!!
Us: OHHHHH!!!!
Me: NO WONDER!
Alicia: PATUTLAH!
Christine: WHAA…!?
Eleena: Shaddap!
Me: What were you doing squatting next to the toilet!?
Eleena: I was tired! And she *points to Amirah* was taking so long!
Alicia: Even I would think you’re crazy.
Eleena: Shaddap! I’ll squat whenever I want!
Me: You think the aroma very nice is it?
Eleena: Shaddap!! I can squat because I like! I was tired!!
Me: You shouldn’t have told us you squatted lar!
Christine: So now no matter what happened, we’ll blame you.
Eleena: SHADDAP!

Ahahahahahaha.

And for the rest of the hour, I was wandering from canteen to science labs to car park with Elaine, Lysandra and Maryann, then Amy and Valerie, then Michelle Goh, then finally Dae and Elizabeth, who were there until I went home. It was a bit dumb coz the form 3 paper started already (at 2.30 p.m.) and I was still there. -.-“ And school finished at 12.45 p.m.

Anyway, the things that made this day interesting. :)

I went to school this morning and Adeline Liaw told me that Indonesian terrorists are going to attack Kuching. (This does not happen every day!)

Me: HA!?
Adel: Josephine told me!
Me: Serious or not….?
Adel: She said she’d tell me later. So I asked her where. Then she was like, “CANTEEL LARR!”
Me: … *peng* I’ll join your discussion later. :D

Then I went down to the staffroom, met Pn. Kong, wished her Happy Belated Birthday and then went off to help her distribute the Readers’ Digest.

Walked off to the canteen to look for Emmeline and Amirah to give them their copies and saw Emmeline’s present for Alicia’s birthday lying on the table.

Emmeline: Look at what I got for Al!
Me: *eyes shine* Oooo… *takes the bag up*
Alicia: It’s really funny.
Me: Uh huh. *examines bag*
Emmeline: Wait. Did you put it back in?
Alicia: *gasp* No!!! *rushes to grab the bag back from me*
Me: *runs*
Alicia: *chases*
Me: *too old to keep running so stopped*
Alicia: *takes bag back and did don’t-know-what*
Emmeline: Look away!
Christine: Ya! Look away! You’re not supposed to see it yet!
Me: *skeptical look*
Alicia: Ok done! *hands me the bag*
Me: *opens*

And guess what was underneath the silver wrapper?

A golden box,

Branded Dior

And the words: REVITALISING PRODUCTS printed on it.

.......... ...........

That is so EMMELINE!

For a moment I was going to laugh (imagine Alicia using REVITALISING PRODUCTS), then I was going to peng because… well… that’s just so EMMELINE! The one who uses 5 different facemasks in a day!

Then they told me to open the box.

And guess what was underneath the golden Dior Revitalising Products box?

........... ...........

An Agatha Christie book.

-_________________________-!!!

Anti-climax, man!

It was so anti-climax that it was hilarious. At least the world is still spinning normally without Alicia using revitalizing products and turning into Emmeline.

Then there was class and EST with Pn. Kong. We had presentation so it was pretty fun. Abigail’s group went and search dictionary for those big, big words so they sounded real smart in front, talking about Communications.

Me: Teacher, what’s “dissemination”?
Pn. Kong: Ask them la!
Marilyn: They got explain just now le.
Me: Really? Ah. *accusingly* Why you didn’t listen!
Marilyn: What lor! YOU didn’t listen!
Me: Lol! Sorry la! I was distracted!

Then Gurprit’s group came and talked about Fertilizers. Apparently Francoise can’t remember Rhizobium. Haha!

Us: How do fertilizers suppress pathogenic bacteria?
Fiona: Because there are bacteria in the soil, like the nitrogen fixing bacteria… Rhizobium is it? With fertilizers, the bacteria got something to do, and that is to break down nitrogen *explains Bio’s nitrogen cycle*
Francoise: Then just now you say the… Rhi…zo… bi.. biu bla bla…
The whole class: (peng first) RHIZOBIUM!
Francoise: Fine! Whatever! *talk talk talk* So the.. Rhibozium….
The whole class: (peng again) RHIZOBIUM!
Francoise: OH FINE!!

That was funny. :P

Then there was break where Erica and I dituduh to have made Elizabeth cry because she had nasi lemak.

Me: Eh the ice cream not nice one….
Erica: That’s why I never buy chocolate. All the cheap chocolate ice cream fake one. Use Milo.
Me: *glares* SAY LA EARLY!!! Ai yo! The whole time I was buying, instead of telling me not to buy, you go tell me about period!
Erica: I thought you’re smarter than me!!!
Me: Not enough you make me buy not nice one ice cream, still wanna tell me about period to ruin my appetite!
Erica: Lol! *takes ice cream* You see all these ice cream say “chocolate” but got pink colour one… not nice! *throws ice cream back into freezer*

=.=” More advices from Erica.

This happened some time after I got the advice from Erica. I have by now concluded that all conversations involving Eleena is bound to be hilarious.

Eleena: *waving her balang of sweets in the air* I brought this for you people you know! You people don’t want!
Me: *suddenly appears* I want! :D
Them: EH! Why you suddenly here wan!
Me: xD

The sweets were in these small balangs.

Me: Eh what is this made of ar? Glass?
Eleena: If not what? You try throw it la.
Me: Plastic?
Alicia: Ya, it’s made of plastic. That’s why it melts in my mouth!
Me: *stares* … I’m talking about the containers!
Alicia: OHHH! (=.=”)
Eleena: Try throw it la.
Alicia: Come. *bangs the two balangs together and got a glassy sound* Glass.
Me: Ahhh… I thought I was going to have to throw it down!
Eleena: Ahahahah! Bodoh.

Then Alicia took out her birthday card from Emmeline. It was hilarious. There were a lot of words written on the envelope and we thought Emmeline was supposed to be studying! And there was this name sticker that had the words “cute” and “angel” written on it.

After much effort from Alicia to open the envelope (apparently it was pretty hard to open and she wouldn’t use ruler nor let anyone else opens it), we took the card from her. No wait, she gave us “willingly”. And the card was hilarious too! it had a really long message and we read it out loud.

We even described it to her coz she hasn’t seen the inside yet. Poor thing. Haha!

Me: There’s this monkey with a suit and top hat that says… (I can’t remember what) Then…

Christine: XOXO!
Me: “You’re supercalifragilisticespialidocious!”
Christine: XOXO!
Me: And there’s this other monkey on a cake that says… “UR the best” (or something like that)
Christine: XOXO!
Alicia: Why so many XOXO!
Us: HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!
Me: Actually there wasn’t so many. She just adds it in!
Alicia: *takes out wallet, takes aim and prepares to throw*
Me: Eh! Wallet! Throw la, throw la! I don’t mind you throw me your wallet. :P:P
Alicia: *keeps the wallet again and later aims at Christine*

Ah wells. At least that was fun. Then I headed back to class for more classes. During Civic, Francoise was walking around the class with her baju kurung skirt pulled up and teacher was like, “Mahu pergi memancing kah!?”

LOL!

And Francoise didn’t hear properly so she went to teacher and teacher like, pulled down her skirt for her.

We were laughing so hard at the back until Francoise came running to the back after that and hid her face.

That’s the end. But in the midst of everything, I did manage to find out the news about the Indonesian terrorist thing.

Lysandra: I heard they were angry because we stole a lot of their culture, like the rendang.
Me: Rendang?
Lysandra: Yala, like their dances and food and culture and all that.
Me: Ha? Real one ha? Where’s the news from?
Adel: From Star Online.
Me: Ai si! Newspaper! True le! How!?
Adel: O_o” I thought you very patriotic one?
Me: Yala… but… terrorist boh!
Adel: Lol!
Lysandra: You know what’s the first thing I’m going to say if they ever catch me?
Me: What?

“I NEVER EAT RENDANG!!!!!!”

LOL!!!!!!!
